SEVERE WEATHER UPDATE

Aqua Gulf is closely monitoring Hurricane Milton. Updates from our team, partners, and carriers are posted below.

  • Good afternoon, the storm has passed Jacksonville as early as this morning. The area faired pretty well. Next focus is the pending high tide surge expected later today.

    Port of Jacksonville continues to remain at Zulu. No landside operations are allowed until assessments have been completed. TOTE expects those to take place this afternoon.  They continue to plan for 9 am opening of the terminal on Friday morning. They will have a Saturday gate from 8 am to 5 pm with all normal vessel day cuts in effect.

    Perla Del Caribe vessel is on a direct Atlantic route with on time arrival into San Juan Friday morning.

    Isla Bella vessel continues a safe distance from the storm on a slow Northbound steam up the Florida coastline with arrival plan for mid morning Saturday. Outbound sail Sunday morning.

  • In the wake of the severe weather event, our thoughts are with those deeply impacted by Hurricane Milton. We are happy to report that our offices, warehouse, and Aqua Gulf family across Florida have not sustained major damage from Hurricane Milton. As such, all operations will resume as normal tomorrow Friday, October 11. We thank you for your continued trust in our team to not only manage your cargo, but keep it safe as well.

      • Wednesday, October 9 and Thursday, October 10 closed under USCG condition ZULU.

      • Friday, October 11, tentative reopening pending USCG inspection and clearance.

      • El Conquistador SAL4919N/SAL4920S – Delayed, scheduled for discharge and load back Wednesday, October 16.

        • ETD JAX – Departed, Tuesday, October 8.

        • SAL4079N – Scheduled to discharge Saturday, October 12.

        • SAL4081S – Sailing cancelled due to port closures this week. Cargo will be rescheduled to sail aboard Taino SAL4082S. ETD JAX: Tuesday, October 15.

    • Wednesday, October 9: CLOSED

    • Thursday, October 10: CLOSED

    • Friday, October 11: 09:00 - 17:00 (The JAX Terminal will be closed for lunch hour 12:30 - 13:30.)

        • ETD JAX – On schedule, Tuesday, October 8. Cargo cut off has been advanced to 1200, Tuesday, October 8.

      • El Coqui SAL4079N/SAL4081S – ETA TBD, pending safe passage of the storm and USCG inspection and re-opening of the port.

    • Rail:

      • FEC – Southbound and Northbound train services will be suspended this afternoon to prepare the network for the hurricane's arrival. Last trains to operate until the storm passes.

        • South 107-08 PEV and MIA cargo: gate closing at 1500 today.

        • North 208-08 MIA traffic only (PEV TBD) - gate closing at 1500 today.

        • Jacksonville ramp plan TBD

      • Norfolk Southern (NS) – Southbound Florida Express traffic will still be accepted at NS Charlotte and will continue to move toward Jacksonville, where it will be held until FEC resumes operations.

  • For the safety of their employees and tenants, JAXPORT’s Main Gates will close to truck traffic at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, October 9 and will remain closed through the duration of the weather event. Based on Milton’s track, they anticipate reopening JAXPORT’s Main Gates Friday October 11, pending the results of facility assessments.

  • For the safety of our employees, our Deerfield Beach, FL headquarters will be working remotely and our Key Cargo Marine Jacksonville, FL warehouse will be closed Wednesday 10/09 and Thursday 10/10. Port terminals in Jacksonville will be closed as well.
